Tasmania

About: Tasmania is an isolated island state off Australia’s south coast with its capital as Hobart. The population of the state was 515,000 in 2014, and the population of the capital (Hobart) was 222,000 in 2016. The total area of the state is 68,401 km². The neighbours of Tasmania are New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia. Tasmania is the only state of Australia which resides away from the rest of the country, across Bass Strait. The main airport of the state is Hobart International Airport which is located at Strachan St, Cambridge TAS 7170, Australia. 

Best Season to Visit: The best time to visit Tasmania is from December to February and June to August.
