Trekking routes in Dehradun district

Trekking means to walk on foot. In olden days, when there were no motor roads and vehicles, the people used to trek from one place to another on foot. Today we can find the traces of these treks in our Himalayan mountainous regions. These routes have changed to the trekking routes for tourists and trekking enthusiasts. There are few trekking routes in the district Dehradun as listed below:

Mussoorie-Jhadipani Fall trek:

The trek is 4 kms. long and takes not more than 2 -3 hours to compete. Camping gear is not needed. Food items and water shall be needed.

Distance: 4 kms

Grade: easy

Duration: 1 day

Season: All year round

Mussoorie-Mossi Fall trek:

This trek is 10 kms. long and takes 3-4 hours to complete. Camping gear is not needed. Food items and water shall be needed.

Distance: 12 kms.

Grade: easy

Duration: 1 day

Season: All year round

Mussoorie-Pati Tivva trek:

This trek is 12 kms. long and takes 4-5 hours to complete. Camping gear is not needed. Food items and water shall be needed.

Distance: 12 kms.

Grade: easy

Duration: 1 day

Mussoorie-Park State (George Everest) trek:

This trek is 14 kms. long and takes 5-6 hours to complete. Camping gear is not needed. Food items and water shall be needed.

Distance: 14 kms.

Mussoorie-Kempty Falls trek:

This trek is 14 kms. long and takes 5-6 hours to complete. Camping gear is not needed. Food items and water shall be needed.

Mussoorie-Bhatta village-Bhattafall trek:

This trek is 18 kms. long and takes whole day to complete. Camping gear is not needed. Food items and water shall be needed.

Distance: 12 kms.

Grade: easy

Duration: 1 day

Season: All year round

Mussoorie-Vinog Hill trek:

This trek is 20 kms. long and takes whole day to complete. Camping gear is not needed. Food items and water shall be needed.

Distance: 20 kms.

Grade: easy

Duration: 1 day

Season: All year round

Landour-Khattapani trek:

This trek is 28 kms. long and takes whole day to complete. Camping gear is not needed. Food items and water shall be needed.

Distance: 28 kms.

Grade: easy

Duration: 1 day

Season: All year round

Rajpur-Mussoorie trek:

This trek is 30 kms. long and takes whole day to complete. Camping gear is not needed. Food items and water shall be needed.

Distance: 30 kms.

Grade: easy

Duration: 1 day

Season: All year round

Mussoorie-clouds End-Dudhali-Bhadraj trek:

This trek is 32 kms. long and takes whole day to complete. Camping gear is not needed. Food items and water shall be needed.

Distance: 32 kms.

Grade: easy

Duration: 1 day

Season: All year round

Mussoorie-Pantwadi-Nagtibba trek:

This trek is 38 kms. long and takes 2 days to complete. Camping gear is needed. Food items and water shall be needed.

Distance: 38 kms.

Grade: easy

Duration: 2 days

Season: All year round

Thatyud-Dewalsari-Nagtibba trek:

This trek is 42 kms. long and takes 2 days to complete. Camping gear is needed. Food items and water shall be needed.

Distance: 42 kms.

Grade: easy

Duration: 2 days

Season: All year round

Shahanshahi trek:

This trek is 14 km long and takes 1 day to complete. Camping gear is not needed. Food items and water shall be needed.

Distance: 14 km
