Ardha Badri is one of the Sapt Badri temples. The meaning of Ardha Badri in hindi is half Badri. The place is situated along the Joshimath – Tapovan road. The idol is placed at a remote village where one has to trek to reach. The name of the village where this idol is kept is Hera. The idol of this is smaller in comparison to the temples of other Sapt Badri temples. The trek route to this temple is via Subhain. The trek is not easy and can be graded as difficult and steep.
The other Sapt Badri temples are as follows: 1) Badri Vishal or Badrinath 2) Adi Badri 3) Vridha Badri 4) Dhyan Badri 5) Bhavishya Badri and 6) Yogdyan Badri.

Every year hundreds of thousands of pilgrims visit the famous temple of Badrinath. The other Sapt Badri temples are lesser known temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
